La Sommeliere is a French manufacturer of premium wine cabinets and coolers which is also owned by the FRIO Enterprises group. With a wide range of different freestanding and built in options, they offer units that are different to standard units in the European market. All La Sommeliere units come with a 2 year parts and labour warranty which is supported by a network of technicians throughout the UK.

Freestanding Wine Cabinet
The VIP196 is a freestanding or built in wine cabinet and can be installed with cabinets around it. There are ventilation requirements in that there must be 100mm of ventilation space above the wine cabinet to allow warm air to escape. The VIP196 is suitable for both long term storage and serving temperature as it has three temperature zones which can be controlled using the digital control panel located on the outside of the cabinet.
Wine Storage Compartment
With a capacity of 195 Bordeaux bottles, this model is one of the most popular wine cabinets. The bottles are supported on solid beech wood shelves which are fixed in place, the shelves can be moved around the cabinet to accommodate your collection. White LED lighting lights up the inside of the cabinet to ensure the bottles are easily visible. There is also a carbon filter to control odours, anti vibration system to minimize unnecessary movement and the double glazed door is fully UV treated to ensure no UV light enters the cabinet.
Single or Multi Zone Wine Cabinet:
The La Sommeliere VIP196 is a single or multi temperature zone wine cabinet which can be utilised by using the digital control panel. By turning the inner fans off you create multiple temperature zones inside the cabinet like the image below. You can also use this unit as a single temperature zone wine cabinet for one single temperature throughout the cabinet.
Multi zone cabinets feature polyvalent technology which effectively means the cool air is introduced at the bottom of the wine cabinet which naturally warms and rises up. This creates 3 naturally independent temperature zones which means you can store white wine at serving temperature in the lowest zone, store wines in the middle zone and then reds at serving temperature in the upper zone.

Delivery FAQs
We aim to deliver stock items in 2-3 weeks as we transfer goods to the NI depot every 1-2 weeks.
Once the goods are transferred, our logistics will be in touch to confirm a delivery date. Please note, delivery lead time can be extended upto 5 weeks. Please contact us directly so we can advise further.
Unfortunately, this service is not currently available in Northern Ireland and Republic or Ireland.
Delivery will be between 8 and 6pm Monday - Friday, the driver will call the recipient before delivery. An ETA will be given on the morning of delivery via email or SMS.
Yes, that wouldn't be a problem - for stock items we would store them in our warehouse for upto a couple of months. For non stock wine coolers, we would ensure they are ordered and ready for you when you require delivery. We will always try our best to accommodate you.
Yes, the majority of our units are delivered from our UK warehouse - the cost varies between €39-€69 depending on the size of the item ordered.
Please note if you choose the 2 person delivery service, the lead time will be longer (up to 4 weeks) as we deliver the units into our 2 person logistics provider based in Northern Ireland.
If your wine cooler arrives damaged or you are unhappy with the quality of the item, please contact us immediately when the crew are still on site.
If you cancel your order and the goods are still in our warehouse, then there will be no charge - if you cancel your order when the goods have left our warehouse and collected by our courier, we will deduct the cost of the delivery from the refund. As an indication, the cost of this will vary depending on the size of the unit and will be in the range of £75 to £145+VAT.
We strongly advise you check the dimensions of the product before ordering, some of our products are ordered in especially for this order and means the order cannot be cancelled once the goods have been collected.
